We are perfectly located close to tourism attractions & industries. Oregon Place Guest House and B&B in Middelburg Mpumalanga is a stylish accommodation establishment in the beautiful Low Veld.
The roof of the house was the first tiled roof in Middelburg. Original Oregon floors and wood finishes, fireplaces and the open air courtyard in the centre of the house lends to the distinguished style of yesteryear. The beautiful tranquil Oregon Garden was well known throughout town as it is still today. The garden still boasts with it’s original water fountain. Our logo represents the giant Oak tree in the garden and it is a landmark in town. In 1996 the house was bought by the Petzer family who restored it to the its original glory. 11 en-suite bedrooms were added and the house was transformed into a beautiful guest house. In 2013 Mike and Barbara Kaplan bought Oregon Place and are the current owners of this beautiful establishment. Only an hour and a half drive from Johannesburg and OR Tambo International Airport makes Oregon Place a perfect overnight stop en route to the Kruger National Park, Mozambique, Swaziland and the magnificent Mpumalanga Scenic Route. Middelburg is also situated in the mining and manufacturing hub of Mpumalanga, thus the perfect place to be based when on a business trip to the area. Oregon Place is close to the CBD, sporting venues and tourism attractions, making it ideal for corporate and leisure guests. Built in 1925 and restored to its original state, Oregon Place Guest House offers both the corporate and leisure guests all the comforts of a beautiful home in a relaxed, friendly and professional environment. A superb English breakfast can be enjoyed in our spacious dining area. However, should you wish to dine out we are happy to recommend local restaurants. Kindly advise us prior to your arrival if you have any special dietary requirements. Oregon Place Guest Lodge offers much more than the standard Bed & Breakfast.
