Ribbokkloof, situated in the Mpumalanga Province, a unique holiday farm, just 2 hours drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria.
The rustic thatched chalets are privately situated in a kloof next to a mountain stream and rock pools. All chalets have fully equipped kitchens with cutlery & crockery, cooking utensils, gas stove and fridge with freezer. We are totally geared with Executive chalets, one 6-bed chalet, an 8 - bed chalet and two double storey 12-bed chalets. Each chalet has its own private braai area.

Our chalets are privately positioned in the kloof, where the gentle murmuring of a mountain stream and rock pools will lull you to sleep every night. Or, for the more adventurous, camping under the stars is the perfect way to enjoy being close to nature. Ribbokkloof forms part of a series of Gelykwater Bonsmara Cattle Farms, so every morning guests wake up to the sound of the cattle walking down the kloof path to drink from the stream near the chalets, while the calves play in their crèche. We at Ribbokkloof want to do everything we can to protect Mother Earth, which is why we do not use any conventional electricity. But don’t worry; we have many clever, environmentally friendly solutions to make sure that our guests are as comfortable as ever. Each chalet is equipped with a power supply, so you needn’t worry about a thing. The name comes from the hissing sound it makes when the dough is dropped into the boiling oil. They freeze well so you can buy in bulk and enjoyed all year round!! We have our own secret milk tart recipe, that has a unique heavenly taste. A true classic of the ages, talking about ages, a fruit cake is like red wine, it matures over time. We have a wide range of biscuits to choose from, a feast for the eye and a feast for your mouth! Our jams and spreads are made from fruits that are handpicked and carefully selected from our orchards. Our orchards you will find next to each of our farm houses, with many different seasonal fruit and maintained with non-harmful insecticides.
